The Gospel:

The Gospel is the good news of Christ’s birth, life, death, resurrection, and accession that is free to all who believe in faith. The Bible declares that we are born in sin, helpless and hopeless. (Romans 3:10) Because of our sin, we are under the wrath of a holy, perfect, and just God. (Romans 3:23, 6:23) We could never live up to the standard of perfection God calls us to. (Matthew5:48). But the gospel is the truth that a just and gracious God looked upon sinners, and in love, sent His Son Jesus Christ to bear the wrath of God against sin. He took our sin, dying on a cross in our place. He then rose again, demonstrating power and victory over sin and death. Because of Christ’s death and resurrection, we can turn from sin, and trust in Him who has freed us from sin and reconciled us to God. By his wounds we have been healed, that we may live for the glory of His name, have a personal relationship with Christ Jesus, and live eternally with him. It is good news indeed!

“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you will be saved” (Romans 10:9).
